Kolkata: The commuters in Kolkata are facing the heat as the taxi driver went for a 24 hour strike on Thursday. The strike was called by AITUC. However, fissures developed between different Taxi drivers’ organizations, as CITU denied being a part of the strike.

The strike called by the AITUC has been supported by BMS and INTUC rendering the strike a success. On the other hand CITU leader Anadi Sahu said that it is not the right time to call a strike and hence SITU is not supporting the move.
