Tanmay Bhattacharya Summoned For Participating In Cong Rally


Kolkata: CPM MLA Tanmay Bhattacharya has been summoned by CPM party for participating in the Congress rally on Sunday. CPM party leaders had refrained from taking part in the rally after the party in the centre expressed discontent with the CPM-Congress alliance in West Bengal.

Tanmay Bhattacharya has been summoned for making actions against the party. On Friday the Congress had conducted a rally in which the CPM MLA had participated. On questioning him by several media outlets, said that the Cong-CPM alliance received 2.5 votes and he honors the opinion of the people. He added that he joined the rally to show his support to the voter’s opinion. There is none above the citizens.

Controversy sparked within the CPM party following Tanmay Bhattacharya’s action. CPM leader Sujan Chakraborty said that he did not do the right thing. RSP party has also criticized his action and seeked for his explanation.

As per sources, 9th and 10th July this would be an issue in the CPM’s meeting. The meeting which will take place on Monday at North 24 Parganas would also seek his reply. It has also been reported that if the party will not be satisfied with his answer, then he might be warned for the final time.
