Kabul: Three policemen were killed on Saturday as Taliban attacked a check post in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan’s local sources say that at least 11 policemen were killed early Saturday in a Taliban attack on a check post in Farah province, a source said.
According to the source Taliban attacked a policecheck post at around 3 am in Shamalgah area of Farah city and killed 11 policemen and wounded another.
But Farah police Chief Toryalai Abdali confirmed the attack but said that three police were killed and four were wounded in the attack.
He said the Taliban fled the scene after the incident and took with them all the weapons at the check post.
