Tagore in Lithu obsession


Kolkata: Jhal Farezi restaurant witnessed a tryst between Lithuanian and our Tagore.

On Sunday, a much unique photo exhibition exploring Lithuania’s obsession with Tagore was organized.

The one day photography exhibition titled ‘6262’ from Lithuania was much impressive in nature. 30 photographs conveyed a remarkable story on Rabindranath Tagore’s impact on Lithuanian’s struggle for freedom and several cultural sectors.

The collection of photographs was based on the adventurous journey undertaken Kounteya Singh over six days by road covering 1,110 Km in Lithuania.

It is acknowledged that there was and is a similarity between Lithu language and Sanskrit, which has a grammatical ancient links.
