Pradeep Kumar, the in-charge of Fatehpur Sikri police station, said the couple was walking alongside a train track when locals assaulted them.Police identified the arrested suspect as the brother of Mukul, who is the main accused in instigating the attack.

Reports said on Thursday that the attack followed harassment and the men initially tried to take selfies with the woman and tried to find out where the couple put up in Agra.

After the attack, the victims were taken to a local health centre before being shifted to Delhi for treatment. Kumar said the couple initially did not want to file a complaint and the case was made out by the police on its own. In 2014, a German woman said she had been molested by a hotel manager in Agra.
