Suspected Al Qaeda Terrorist Nabbed From Haryana


Chandigarh: Tightening the noose around terrorists operating in India, the Special Cell of Delhi Police on Monday arrested an Al Qaeda operative from Haryana.

The suspected Al Qaeda terrorist Abdul Sami was arrested has been taken into police custody from Haryana’s Mewat district. He has been sent to police remand till February 1.

The arrest was made following an ongoing investigation by the Delhi police. The police had earlier made arrests in Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and Bengaluru in connection with the same case. The Delhi police say that the al-Qaeda was trying to set up operations in India through these persons.

Further investigations are on a Delhi police official informed while adding that they are in the process of busting more modules across the country.
