New Delhi: Foreign Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will be travelling to China on a four day visit on Saturday. She will accompanied by Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar where she will also attend a trilateral meeting with China and Russia.
Jaishankar, who assumed charges on Thursday, met Chinese Ambassador Le Yucheng on Friday to discuss about the upcoming visit. The two diplomats discussed about the bilateral relations and the Foreign Minister’s visit.
Jaishankar was appointed the Foreign Secretary on Wednesday Night. Swaraj will be visiting Beijing on the invitation of her Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
She will take part in the 13th Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of Russia-India-China Trilateral talks and will meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the visit.
