Surya Kanta Attacks Mamata On Her Paintings

Howrah: CPM state secretary lashed out at chief minister Mamata Banerjee over her paintings on Friday while addressing a programme at Howrah. However, he did not take any names.

Mishra made two questions which made it clear that the attack was on Mamata Banerjee. On the 101th anniversary of the November Revolution, a programme was arranged at the CPM district committee department in the evening. Here he asked, “Why did the drawing of pictures stop in 2012? Is it because there is no one to purchase it?”

Mishra also called for an anti-BJP secular government for which they have called for a rally at the Brigade on February 3.

Accusing the TMC party for being responsible for the increased activity of BJP in the state, Mishra said, “The birth of BJP in the state took place because of TMC. If the Left government was in power, then RSS would have ran away long time ago.”

Hence he said that along with BJP, the TMC party also needs to be ousted. He said, “From now on we have only one slogan – একই বৃন্তে দুটি ফুল, বিজেপি আর তৃণমূল (Ek e brinte duti ful, BJP ar Trinamool).”

On the other hand, he termed BJP’s Rath-yatra as a ‘split chariot.’ He said that in order to bring fight amongst people, the BJP has arranged for the rath yatra. Surya Kanta Mishra also condemned the Central government over several issues such as the Rafale issue.
