Supreme Court to hear state’s complain today


New Delhi: Hearing of the case filed by the state government against the procedures followed by the CBI in the investigation of the Saradha scam. The state Government have alleged that the CBI was being used by the Central Government to satisfy political vendetta against the Bengal Government and harass the TMC leaders.

After assuming the charge of probing the Saradha Scam CBI has arrested some important political leaders of the TMC including Minister Madan Mitra and MP Srinjoy Bose. The All India General Secretary of TMC Mukul Roy has also been summoned by the central investigating agency. Mukul is scheduled to visit the CBI officials at CGO complex this week.

Two cases were filed against the CBI. In one case, the state is being represented by Kapil Sibal while the other has been filed by TMC General Secretary Mahua Maitra.

Special leave petition have been filed in the Supreme Court by Mukul Roy. The actions to be taken by the CBI will be clear after taday’s hearing.
