Kolkata: The state of West Bengal has been witnessing rainfall activity for quite some time now.Sunday afternoon treats the city dwellers of Kolkata and places in vicinity to it with splash of pre-monsoon rain. Heavy rainfall with thundersquall and lightening is reported from some places adjacent to Kolkata.
The last 24 hours were also not very different as heavy rains did lash the state. Thunderclouds had developed during the late afternoon hours and by evening time, many areas in the state recorded good showers along with squalls and lightning activities.
Earlier,on Tuesday double-Nor’wester hit the state killing nearly eighteen people and destroying many trees.
