‘Sultan’ Smashes All Existing Box Office Records, Mints Over Rs 140 Crore In 4 Days

Mumbai: Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma’s Sultan hit screens this Wednesday and has been enjoying an unstoppable run at the box office ever since then. Lauded by critics for the brilliant performances, Sultan has got the nation crazy.

Advance bookings had been unprecedented and now, the collections speak volumes of the fact that Salman is the undisputed king at the box office. While the film suffered a blow due to the shift in Eid date, the film managed to put up a great show at the plexes and especially the single screens.

Sultan collected Rs 36.54 crore on Wednesday followed by a humongous Rs 37.32 crore on Thursday (Eid) and a whopping Rs 31.66 crore on Friday. With that, Sultan also bags the record of the biggest 3-day collections in Bollywood ever (Rs 105.52 crore).

On Saturday, the single screens recorded a gigantic figure and the film outperformed in the interiors and the mass circuits, raking in huge moolah. The film netted Rs 37.10 crore on Saturday and took its 4 day total to a record Rs 142.62 crore.

Given its pace and Sunday being a holiday, the film might as well hit a Rs 180 crore opening weekend, which is exceptional.
