Sukma Encounter Deaths: Rajnath, Chhattisgarh CM Attends Wreath Laying Ceremony


Raipur: The mortal remains of the 25 CRPF personnel, who lost their lives in an encounter with Maoists on Monday, were brought to the CAF camp in Mana, Chhattisgarh on Tuesday morning. Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Chhattisgarh CM Dr Raman Singh, MoS Home Hansraj Ahir are at wreath-laying ceremony, paying their tributes.

Rajnath Singh later addressed the media. He said, “We have decided to revise our LWE strategy if need be,have called a meeting of officials of various state governments on May 8th.” He called it a cowardly and an act of desperation. He urged central and state governments to work together and take the necessary action.

Rajnath Singh on Monday condemned the incident terming it extremely painful and vowed that “no one will be spared”.  “It is a very sad and unfortunate incident. We have taken the attack as a challenge,” Singh said.
