Raipur: After 24 hours of the Naxal ambush, the security forces have been able to retrieve the dead bodies of their colleagues from the forests in the Sukma district of Chattishgarh.
Bad weather and hostile terrain were the main causes of delay in the recovery of the bodies. According to sources, a back-up team of the Central Reserve Police force arrived at the spot a couple of hours after the gun battle but had to retreat since the Naxals started firing again.
The CRPF is now worked on a strategy to retrieve the bodies of the dead jawans and ultimately the bodies of the Jawans were recovered. The jawans were ambushed on Saturday while returning from a search operation in the district after being tipped off about the presence of Maoists in the area.
