Kolkata & New Delhi: The Trinamool MP Sudip Bandopadhaya have received life threat over SMS on Tuesday, police said. Sudip is now in Delhi for parliament session. Sudip immediately told the incident to the Mamata Banerjee and also lodged a FIR at Delhi police station. Police started investigation.
According to police, a sms has come to the Sudip’s phone on morning and wrote in sms that ‘Sala Marbo ekhane las porbe Delhi te’. Mamata Banerjee was felt angry to hear the incident. Mamata called him and said to lodge a written complaint in Kolkata and Delhi police station.
Mamata said she had asked him to file an FIR or First Information Report and send a copy to Kolkata. She had also advised that he should go to Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
“They are threatening Sudip to kill him in Delhi and dispose him off in Kolkata. This is intolerance. Never seen such violence before,” said a tweet on the Chief Minister’s official account.
“If they do not want Opposition to speak, let them impose Emergency. I have asked Sudip Da to raise the issue in Lok Sabha,” she tweeted, adding that “voices cannot be muzzled in a democracy.”
