Suarez To Resume International Duty After Serving Suspension


Johannesburg: Barcelona star striker Luis Suarez will resume his international duty with Uruguay on Friday after serving suspension for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup.

Suarez was handed a nine-game ban from international games in addition to a four-month ban from all football-related activity for the incident.

Uruguay will play against South American rivals Brazil in a key World Cup qualifier in the northeast Brazilian city of Recife on Friday, Sport24 reported.

Uruguay are currently second in South American qualifying behind Ecuador.
