Students, activists takes streets demanding Principal’s resignation

New Delhi: Students, teachers and women rights activists on Monday took to the streets of the national capital on Monday demanding the resignation of Valson Thampu over the over allegations that he had tried to hush up the case of molestation of a research scholar of the college.

On the other hand Principal Thampu has demanded a CBI probe claiming that the vicitim was being used as a weapon against him. The protestors demanded his removal from office pending an enquiry against him.

Protests were also staged outside the college campus by All India Students’ Association and the Students Federation of India.

Activists from All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), Centre for Struggling Women (CSW), Saheli and All India Progressive Women Association (AIPWA), have also demanded his resignation and justice for the victim.
