Student protests continue at Presidency over entrance exam


Kolkata: The protests continue in Presidency University over the continuation of entrance exam for admission in the university. The have demanded entrance examination for admission in each and every department of the University. The entered the room of the registrar of the university and staged demonstration.

The students have demanded a meeting with the faculty members of all the departments. They have threatened to continue the demonstration unless the meeting is convened.

A few days back it was heard that the entrance exam will continue for admission in the under-graduate level. Chairman of the mentor group of Presidency University advocated for the continuance of the entrance exam. After the statement of Sugata Bose it was believed that the problem will be solved. Wednesday’s protest has once again increased the controversy over the continuance of the entrance examinations.
