Islamabad: In a desperate bid to draw international attention on its Kashmir propaganda, a stubborn Pakistan has cancelled the Commonwealth parliamentary conference. Pakistan drew sharp reaction from India after Pak refused to invite Jammu and Kashmir speaker citing that Kashmir is a disputed territory.
Reacting to the provocative stance India had threatened to boycott the meet. India and Pakistan have fought two of their three wars since independence in 1947 over Kashmir. Both claim full ownership of the region, but administer separate parts of it.
Pakistan saw an opportunity to raise the Kashmir issue" by refusing to host the conference.
