Struck by injury, Finch bids adieu to IPL 8

Mumbai: Australia T20 skipper Aaron Finch has been ruled out of remainder of the Indian Premier League due to a hamstring injury that he suffered while batting for Mumbai Indians last week.

Finch, who was assisted from the field after he was yelling in pain during Mumbai’s match against Rajasthan in Ahmedabad, successfully underwent surgery on his left hamstring and is expected to be out for 12 weeks. Mumbai Indians are not in the best of shape in the ongoing season of IPL. The exclusion of the Aussie batsman from their squad is surely to strike as a blow to the team for the remaining games in the tournament.
