Kolkata: Revealing the internal ongoing strife in the state BJP unit, Subhash Sarkar, the vice president of BJP’s Bengal unit, wrote an e-mail to BJP National President Amit Shah, seeking the removal of Rahul Sinha from the post of BJP state president.

Accusing Sinha of BJP’s debacle in the municipal polls across the state, Subhash Sarkar wrote that if BJP has to gain a competitive edge in Bengal, an incompetent Sinha must be shunted out as soon as possible.

On the other hand, BJP chief Amit Shah on Thursday blamed the Mamata Banerjee government, including the state’s police force, for his party’s poor performance in the municipal elections in West Bengal.
