Kolkata: A sting operation carried out by a website named Narada created a major political controversy in the election bound West Bengal on Monday.
Reacting to this video, the opposition leader of WB and the State CPM secretary Surya Kanta Mishra said, “it is matter of shame that this government is still in power.” Narada News claimed that they started their investigation “before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.”
Bharatiya Janata Party called a press conference and disclosed the video in public. BJP leader Siddhartha Nath Singh demanded CM Mamata Banerjee’s resignation.
TMC spokesperson, MP Derek O’Brien twitted, ‘We have watched the video of the so-called ‘sting’ operation. There is no sting in it. We are completely dismissive about it.’
The minister Subrata Mukherjee said, ‘I do not know anything’.
Despite our efforts, we could not get the reactions of MP Shuvendu Adhikari, Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar and the minister Firhad Hakim.
