STF Arrests Commander Of Banned Manipur Terrorist Outfit


Kolkata: Special Task Force of Kolkata has arrested a alleged commander of the Manipur-based banned terrorist outfit, Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP-PWG).

KCP is banned in India. Last year some KCP members were arrested in connection with dacoity in Jewellary shop in Kolkata. It’s under investigation as to why Amon had come to Kolkata. He has so far confessed that he had done extortion for a number of persons in Manipur. He will be produced today in Bankshall Court.

KCP is a separatist organization. This organization has been active in Manipur since 1980. They have some bases in Myanmar border area. The organization is known only in North East India. Since 1980, the KCP has launched a separatist movement and demanding separate autonomous areas. They are involved in multiple attacks in the army convey.
