Kolkata: A PIL has been filed in the Calcutta High Court on Monday asking for a stay order on the publication of the results Madhyamik Examination 2017 as the question paper of Physical Science was leaked on the exam day. He had also appealed for a re-test of the paper.
Moments after the exam commenced, media got hands on the leaked question paper. Unconfirmed sources suggest that the paper was leaked from one BSB high school in Malda. The incident occurred hours ahead of the exam.
Tapas Kumar Biswas, inspector of Madhyamik examination in Malda informed that he is aware of the leak and has conveyed it to the higher authorities.
But Kalyanmoy Gangopadhyay, Chairman of West Bengal Board Of Secondary Education, has rubbished the paper leak as rumours.
However, it is not ascertained that the exam is being conducted with the leaked question paper.
The PIL was filed by one Kunal Bagchi. He has sought proper investigation into the paper leak. The hearing is scheduled for next week.
