State Says No to NIA on Titagarh Blast


Kolkata: The West Bengal government on Thursday said that no National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe is needed in the Titagarh blast. The state said that the CID is currently investigating the blast and is well capable of attaining the results.

At least 14 people were injured when a bomb allegedly carried by a passenger exploded in a packed compartment of a local train in Kolkata. A low intensity blast took place on the Sealdah-Krishnanagar train at 3.55 am in the morning, when it had just left Titagarh station, less than an hour from Kolkata.
