Finance Minister presents the people's budget

The major Highlights of the Bengal Budget 2015:

  • Finance Minister Amit Mitra ends his budget speech with the lines of Kavi Najrul Islam
  • 6.5 lakhs employment opportunities have been provided by the State Govt.: Mitra

  • Allocations- North Bengal Dev – Rs 450 Cr in 2015-16 from Rs 375 Cr in 2014-15
  • Allocations- Backward Class Welfare – Rs 483 Cr in 2015-16 from Rs 377 Cr in 2014-15
  • Allocations- Minority Dev – Rs 2033 Cr in 2015-16 from Rs 1737 Cr in 2014-15
  • Allocations- Municipal Affairs – Rs 2464 Cr in 2015-16 from Rs 2251 Cr in 2014-15
  • Amit Mitra thanks the CM Mamata Banerjee for the installation of renewable forms of energy within the state.
