Starc Ends Up Sending Messages To ‘Wrong’ Virat Kohli

New Delhi: Australian pacer Mitchell Starc has, inadvertently, left a message meant for Virat Kohli on a parody account of the India captain.

Starc, who was congratulating Kohli for the series win, mistook the parody account to be the real one. He wrote on Twitter, “Hey friend 🙂 Hopefully I don’t have to look for a new ipl team?? Haha media hey!

“Didn’t get a chance to have a proper catch up mate but Congrats on the series win and on your summer personally I hope that shoulder is on the mend and not too bad. Good luck for the ipl, here s hoping to an RCB win. Cheers mate.”
The tweet soon went viral, leaving Starc a bit embarrassed. The Australian later deleted his tweets.

The parody account holder named @imVkohlli shared the screenshots of Starc’s tweets from his Twitter handle. The tweet received over 900 re-tweets and 870 likes and was shared extensively.
Starc left the recently concluded India-Australia series mid-way after sustaining a stress fracture on his foot. He played in the first two Tests and picked up five wickets.

Starc had pulled out of this year’s Indian Premier League season, ending his association with his franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore to focus on his rehabilitation ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy in June.
