Srinjoy Bose quits Trinamool Congress


Kolkata: Srinjoy Bose has resigned from the post of Trinamool Congress’ MP on Thursday. According to sources, Srinjoy Bose, who is popularly known as ‘Tumpai’ among his close relatives has also stepped down the primary membership of TMC.

Srinjoy was granted bail from the court after a period of 75 days. He was directed by the court not to leave the country  and to appear before CBI whenever they would summon him. Srinjoy’s passport was also seized in the case. After getting the bail Srinjoy was admitted to a South Kolkata nursing home on Wednesday night. On Thursday, the big news came where he gave up all associations with Mamata Banerjee’s party.

Sujan Bose of CPI(M) has said that TMC as a party did not work out in Srinjoy’s life. It brought about his downfall. On the other hand Congress’ Adhir Chowdhury opined that the march away from TMC is on. Slowly all the members of TMC will go away from the party. However, Adhir Chowdhury said that, clipping all associations with TMC will not give a cleanchit to the former TMC MP.
