Islamabad: The Art of Living centre is said to have receive two threat letters from Taliban warning of a blast which will kill several followers. Last year, an Art of Living centre on the outskirts of the Pakistan capital Islamabad was set afire allegedly by the Taliban. The Home Ministry on Friday directed concerned agencies to beef up security of Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shanker following a threat letter issued by the Tehreek-e-Talibaল.
In March this year, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar received death threats from the terror group ISIS while he was touring in Malaysia. In a letter to the manager of Hotel Jen, where the Indian guru was staying, the group warned that the hotel would be destroyed and he would be killed if he is allowed to carry out “Hindu activities” in the country.
The letter alleged that the guru claims himself “as non-religious” person but his organization Art of Living has been “converting Muslims in Iran and Iraq”. It is “meddling in Islamic affairs”, it said.
