Spurn Sonia, Mamata accepts Kejri’s Iftar

Kolkata: Stirring up the political equation of the country and hours after saying that due to some scheduled programme, Mamata Banerjee will not be able to meet Arvind Kejriwal for the Iftar Party, on Saturday evening, the West Bengal CM tweeted that she will be meeting Arvind Kejriwal next time in Delhi. Now such a tweet comes as a different angle in the Mamata-Kejri relationship considering the national politics.

Earlier, AAP leader and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is heard to have invited West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee for the Iftar Party on Sunday. The invitation came from Kejriwal’s end on Saturday night to Mamata. But according to sources, due to some pre-scheduled work, Mamata Banerjee will not be able to attend the Iftar Party slated to be held on Sunday. On the other hand, Mamata has said that TMC’s Chief Spokesperson Derek O’Brein and Sukhendu Shekhar Roy will be attending the party on Mamata’s behalf.

Now, the equation in the National politics is sure to get stirred up as Mamata did not show interest in attending the Iftar party where she was invited by Congress President Sonia Gandhi. But she made sure that some representatives of TMC attend the invitation from Kejriwal.
