Mumbai: Accolades have been flying in Virat Kohli’s direction from all quarters this season, as the India captain led his side to a 19-match unbeaten run.
What is even more remarkable is that Kohli has led from the front, scoring 1,457 runs from nine Tests so far, in the ongoing home Test season.
He recently broke records by two legends of the game. Kohli became the first player to score four double tons in as many consecutive Test series, surging past Sir Don Bradman and Rahul Dravid, both of whom previously held the joint record at three each. Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar had congratulated Kohli on this great feat, in a very unique manner, saying that the marks on the sweet spot of his bat are a great indication of the kind of form he is in, right now.
Both Sachin and Kohli are known to have great respect for each other, and Tendulkar’s praise did not go amiss on the India skipper.
