Special camps organised by Election Comission

New Delhi: The Election Commission is organising special camps in all Assembly Constituencies across the country to update electoral rolls and link Aadhar numbers with Elector’s Photo Identity Cards. The camps are being held in pursuance of the National Electoral Roll Purification and Authentication Programme announced by the Election Commission.

The objective of setting up such camps is to make electoral rolls completely authentic and error-free. The move will also help in doing away with multiple duplications in Photo Identity Cards. Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Chandra Bhushan Kumar said, such camps will be set up in over 11,000 polling booths.

He said, booth level officers will be available at camps to facilitate voters. Such camps will be organised every month till July.
