South Africa Clinches Last Over Victory over India

Kanpur: Indian opener Rohit Sharma’s superb 150 went in vain after South Africa clinches five runs victory over India in the first ODI at Green Park in Kanpur on Sunday.

After being whitewashed in the Twenty20 series, India are yet to open an account against Proteas as they trail 0-1 in the five-match series. India were well on course to chase the massive target before Imran Tahir’s double strike in the 47th over jolted the Men in Blues chances.

Needing 11 in the last over to win, Kagiso Rabada dashed Indian hopes by dismissing MS Dhoni and Stuart Binny to reduce India to 298/7 in 50 overs.
