Kolkata: Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, the Pradesh Congress have re-constructed all its committees. However, the close aides of former Pradesh Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, have been excluded from the list. The reshuffling has been done in north, central and south Kolkata’s three districts. The district presidents have been changed at Howrah, Nadia, Bankura, Birbhum and other districts. After losing position, many have started protesting too.
11 Pradesh Election Committees have been set up which includes top leaders of Pradesh Congress. Apart from them, it also includes Sardar Amzad Ali, Ritesh Dutta and others. Along with Debaprasad Roy, Prasanto Dutta, Tulsi Mukherjee, came former minister Abdus Sattar to Pradesh Congress as general secretary. Abdus Sattar left CPM and came to Pradesh Congress.
AICC’s newly-appointed general secretary (organisation) K.C. Venugopal on Friday have sent his not to Pradesh Congress’ Nirbachan Committee, Karjanirbahi Committee, Media Committee, Srinkhala Committee and the district presidents.
Those who lost their district president post are said to be close to Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. These leaders starting posting their grievances on social media. However, many are happy as the committees have been set-up after 8-years.
