Smuggler killed in BSF firing

Balurghat: A smuggler was killed in BSF firing along the Indo-Bangladesh border. The incident occurred in South Dinajpur’s Katabari area along the border.

It has been known that a group of smugglers were smuggling Phensedyl into Bangladesh at the wee hours of Friday morning when they were challenged by the BSF. The armed smugglers attacked a Jawan.

The injured jawan said that he was forced to fire upon the smugglers killing one. The BSF officials said that the deceased is a resident of a village on the side of Bangladesh.
