Smith Reaches Second Only To Bradman In Rating Points


Dubai: Australian captain Steve Smith moved closer towrads matching Australian legend Don Bradman’s rating points for batsman after he jumped to 945 rating points owing to his double hundred ar Pertth during the third Ashes Test match.

Smith garnered seven more points to become joint second highest with Len Hutton of England in the list of all-time highest rating points for batsman in the ICC Cricket rankings. Smith is now only sixteen points behind Don to become highest rated test batsman ever.

His batting average of 62 is already the second best behind Don’s average of 99 with batsman who played minimum of 20 test innings. Smith has a chance to leapfrog the legend during the fourth Ashes Test which starts on the Boxing Day.
