Barrackpore: West Bengal Municipal and urban Development minister Firhad Hakim on Tuesday visited the most awaited sky-walk in Dakshineswar. The project is just awaiting for the load testing certificate.
West Bengal government has announced the sky-walk for the welfare of the people who come to offer Puja at Dakshineswar. In special occasion, huge traffic congestion happens on BT Road. To avoid the situation state has taken the initiative.
The project did not get completed within the first schedule time. So Mamata ordered to finish the work within October in supervision of Firhad Hakim. The work is almost on the verge. The last minute work going in making of the sky-walk where 65 crore rupees have been spent.
Firhad Hakim said, “The last minute finishing are on way. Security is the topmost priority in such incident. So waiting for loading certificate. We will get this within September and announce the inauguration schedule.”
It is going to be a precious gift for the people who come worship Kaali in Dakshineswar temple before Durga Puja . It will also reduce the traffic pressure.
