Islamabad: Six terrorists accused in attack on an Army school in Peshawar on 16 December last year has been sentenced to death by the Pakistani Army on Thursday. 151 students were killed when armed gunmen attacked the school which was filled with students. The terrorists mercilessly killed the students who were attending their classes in one of the deadliest terrorist attack of Pakistan.
The six terrorists were convicted by military courts while another was sentenced to life imprisonment for his role in the attack. According a statement by the Army in its website, “The convicts were given fair trial by following all the legal formalities and offering/ providing them legal aid and defence counsels. Today the sentences of death have been confirmed by the chief of army staff.”
The army also announced it would execute another man for carrying out an attack on soldiers in the city of Karachi.
The Taliban were the main accused in the terrorist attack in Pakistani school.
