Six Maoist in Assam police net

Jalpaiguri: Six Maoists were trapped into the net of Assam police on Thursday. One among them is a most wanted woman Maoist leader from the state named Nirmala Biswas who hails from Nadia district.

Police was hunting for her since long. At last acting on a tip off, police arrested the six from Barakhola area near Kachar in Assam. It is being suspected that they had accumulated with the intention of conducting a big strike.  

According to police, they were keeping Nirmala in track for the past few days. Upon tracking Nirmala, police came to know that the Maoist leader was holding a secret meeting. Assam police was contacted and Six including Biswas were arrested in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
