New York: Six people have reportedly been killed and twelve injured in a train accident in Westchester County in New York on Tuesday evening.
According to the reports, a train carrying 850 people on the Vallhalla line metro route rammed a Jeep while the vehicle was on the Commerce Street crossing. The collision was so powerful that the vehicle was thrown almost 100 meter away and the front boggies caught fire.
Around six people including the lady driver of the train died on the scene, while the injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals. Other passengers have been safely evacuated. The train services have been partially affected by the accident.
