SIT quizzes flight crew over Sunanda’s death


New Delhi: Delhi Police while investigating Sunanda Pushkar’s death has questioned the crew members of an Air India flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Delhi in which Shashi Tharoor and his wife were travelling.

 Sources reveled that the couple had a fight on board the flight on 15 January last year. The special investigating team may also question a senior congress leader who was also on the same flight about the reason behind the quarrel.

A police official associated with the probe said that the crew members were also questioned regarding this matter.

Police also revealed that after the flight landed in New Delhi, Pushkar had called up their family friend Sunil Trakru who took her to the five star hotel where she was found dead on 17 January last year.

Police will also question a woman journalist with whom Sunanda had spoken before her death and Tharoor’s Personal secretary Avinash Kumar who had informed the police about her death.
