Singapore Organization To Invest In Bengal

Kolkata: An organization of Singapore announced on Friday that it is all set to invest almost 70 crores of rupees in the state’s food processing department.

Mandela Capital, the Singapore organization took over a private laboratory, IIFRA in Barasat. It bought 51% shares of IIFRA. Finance minister of the state, Amit Mitra said that there is the probability of future investments in the state through IIFRA itself. It needs mention that Mandella Capital Limited has already invested in several planning on India. It has invested atleast 1200 crores of rupees.

The state government had given IIFRA to conduct tests on Maggi when it was going through a cricis. IIFRA is a renowned laboratory throughout India. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had held meetings with Mandela Capital Limited during her Singapore tour. Talks on investment took place with the chief minister at London too.
