Shrikant Bought Mamata’s Paintings By Using Chit-Fund’s Money: CBI


Kolkata: Shrikant Mohta bought five paintings of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He bought pictures with huge amount of money. Now CBI wants to get its whereabouts and where the money came from.

On Friday, he will be taken to the court of Bhuvaneshwar. The CBI will appeal to the court to take Shrikant Mohta to custody. He will be questioned again in custody. Sources said, Shrikant Mohta has also taken money from Sharada, not only Rose valley.

In the year 2015, Shrikant Mohta’s name came out in the investigation. Then the CBI summoned him to submit the pictures. Shrikant Mohta was asked to submit those photographs to the CBI office. But he escaped showing many reasons.

Finally, in the first week of December 2018, he submitted five photographs of Mamata to the CGO Complex. And she admitted that few years ago she had bought five paintings of Chief Minister Mamta Bandyopadhyay’s paintings from an exhibition.
