Shots fired at Ward No-60, Cong accuses TMC candidate


Kolkata: Update 11:40- A pitched battle is raging between Congress workers and TMC supporters at Beniapukur in Ward No-60 to establish political dominance in the area. As per the reports both hurled crude bombs and fired shoots at each other. Making a mockery of the police the clashes are going on infront of the local police station.

Reporting the first instance of firing in the ongoing Municipal polls in Kolkata, multiple shots have been fired at Ward no-60 at Beniapukur.
Trinamool candidate of ward no-60 Kaisar Zamil has been accused of the firing by the Congress. They said that in order to enforce a blanket ban on opposition vote bank in the area Kaisar had fired multiple shots creating panic in the voters.
The ongoing polls in the city has been so far rocked with instants of violence and opposition accusing the ruling Trinamool of manipulating the polls.
