Shootout in Paris, 11 dead


Paris: 11 people were killed when two assassins entered the office of Charlie Hebdo, a newspaper bases in Paris. Five persons were also injured in the incident. Three police officials were also injured in the attack.

According to police, the two assassins stromed into the office of the weekly magazine and started firing indiscriminately. At least 1 journalist has been killed in the attack. It has been reported that the assassins feld away after the attack.

French president Francois Hollande said that at least 40 people were rescued from the office. The weekly magazine was continuously threatened for publishing caricatures of Prophet Muhammad among other controversial sketches.

The French President has rushed to the spot and top government officials have been planning to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the incident.
