Shootout at Delhi AIR Complex


New Delhi: In a major security scare a jawan of Nagaland Armed Police (NAP), on duty at the gate of All India Radio complex in Timarpur area of North Delhi opened fired at two Delhi Police constables. The incident happened at around 3 am on Monday morning.

According to reports, both the Delhi Police constables were in a car and were trying to enter the complex by force. The NAP jawan mistook them to be miscreants. Both the Delhi Police constables were reportedly drunk at the time of the incident.

One of the Delhi Police constables has been admitted to the nearest hospital with serious bullet injuries. The other one has been arrested. The injured constable has been identified as Amit of 3rd Battalion of Delhi Police. Police have launched an investigation into the case.
