Shooting Inside Karkardooma Court in Delhi, Policeman Killed


Update 1245 pm: A policeman was killed and two others were injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire inside the  Karkardooma Court premises in east Delhi today. Four alleged shooters have been detained for questioning.

Constable Ram Kumar who received three bullet injuries died on the spot. A total of six rounds were fired by the assailants. The incident occurred around 11 am when constable Kumar was bringing an undertrial to a court room for hearing.

New Delhi: Firing was reported inside the Karkardooma Court complex in Delhi on Wednesday, and four people, including three policemen were injured.

At least ten gunshots were heard in the Delhi court, NDTV reported. A court clerk was among those injured.

Two people have been detained following the shooting. The firing took place inside Court room number 73, ANI news agency reported.
