Agra: After the numbers of the 2011 census were revealed, the Agra unit of Shiv Sena has taken up a surprising decision. The party would provide Rs two lakh to a Hindu family if parents have five children. Binu Lavania, the Chief of Shiv Sena’s Agra wing has said that the step was taken due to the decrease in Hindu population in India.
Each family that has five kids between 2010 to 2015 will get Rs 2 lakh. The parents will need to furnish birth certificates from the municipal corporation, he added.
Shiv Sena has also expressed concern over the growing Muslim population. They demanded a uniform civil code and an end to the system of “several wives per husband”.
