Kolkata: The Sheena Bora murder case is taking new turn with each passing day, Siddhartha Das, the first husband of Indrani Mukherjee and who had fathered Sheena Bora and Mikhail has been traced in Kolkata’s Dumdum area on Tuesday.
While Mumbai Police is still looking for the elusive Siddhartha Das, India Today raced him in Kolkata. Siddhartha first refused to respond to India Today correspondent’s questions. However, he later admitted that Sheena and Mikhail were his children and he has not met them for ages. “I am ready to cooperate with Mumbai Police in the case,” Das added.
While confirming that Siddhartha studied in St Anthony’s, Shillong, Shantanu said that Siddhartha has not been in touch with the family since last 10 years. “If he had died, we would have surely come to know about it someway or the other,” Shantanu had told India Today. The family also expressed shock over the news of Sheena’s murder.
On Monday, a Mumbai court extended the police custody of Indrani Mukerjea and other two accused in the case till September 5. Police also charged Indrani with conspiring to kill her son Mikhail around the time she allegedly strangled and burnt her daughter with the help of her driver Shyamvar Rai and her ex-husband, Sanjeev Khanna.
Indrani, wife of former media baron Peter Mukerjea, briefly fainted in the Bandra court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate SM Chandgade as the public prosecutor argued that her custody and those of the other two be extended.
Vidhie, Indrani’s other daughter from Khanna, broke down after seeing her mother in the court.
