Shatrughan Sinha calls Nitish ‘Guardian of Bihar’

Patna: Senior BJP leader and Lok Sabha MP Shatrughan Sinha on Saturday met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar describing him as the Guardian of the state, raising eyebrows across the political circles which was later rubbished by him.

The veteran Bollywood actor and Politician met Kumar at the CM’s residence few hours after the scheduled visit of Narendra Modi to the state.

Calling it a courtesy visit, Sinha said, “It was a courtesy call and I consider him as guardian of the state.”

He said that he went to meet the Chief Minister to discuss the development of the state and his constituency Patna Sahib.

He said, “No politics should be seen in the meeting. It is well known that we are old friends and respect each other. Even Prime Minister today said there should be no untouchability in politics.”

He also said that he had attended his first engagement with the Prime Minister in Patna ‘dutifully and beautifully.’
