Share market bounces back


Mumbai:The S&P BSE Sensex surged 453 points in intraday trade on Wednesday, led by gains in Reliance Industries, Infosys, ICICI Bank, L&T and HDFC Bank.

The 50-share Nifty index also reclaimed its crucial psychological level of 8100, supported by gains in banks, consumer durable, realty and power stocks.

The 30-share index closed at 26840.50, up 359.25 points or 1.36 per cent. It touched a high of 26934.74 and a low of 26,493.29 in
trade today.

The Nifty ended at 8124.45 up 102.05 points or 1.2 per cent. It touched a high of 8152.25 and a low of 8023.80 in trade today.
